Review:

Tim: I am a massive fan of Stephen King's The Stand and I was beyond excited to watch this miniseries. The acting is wonderful- they assembled a truly great cast here. However, the real success of the series comes from Stephen King and his extraordinary book. I read the complete edition of The Stand, which is a over a thousand pages. I read it far too young, but it was one of the most influential books I've ever read. The book is simply tremendous, which makes this series excellent as well.

For those of you who have no time to sit and read the extremely long (but extremely interesting) book, I recommend saving some time by watching this 6 hour movie. The events that unfold are simply genius, and very thought-provoking. I recommend this series and the book wholeheartedly. As the front of the film's box displays: "The end of the world is just the beginning".
