Review:

Tim: I actually had a lot of fun with Porky's Baseball Broadcast. The Porky Pig short films are a little hit-or-miss, but this was a really good one. It takes place in the final game of the World Series, between the Giants and the Red Sox. The whole short film is basically a series of baseball puns or gags that were actually decently humorous.

There's a lot of humorous baseball jokes. The pitcher of the Giants is a Giant, the bat boy is a bat, the umpire is blind- none of these are brilliant comedic jokes, but they're decently funny, especially for kids. The jokes felt appropriate and yet intelligent enough to engage kids intellectually. I had fun watching them. There's a recurring joke about a guy trying to find his seat that is legitimately funny and the payoff at the end is quite good.

There's so many of these Looney Tunes shorts and some work and some don't. This was one of the better ones I've seen- its funny, moves quickly and was entertaining. I had fun watching this short and would certainly enjoy revisiting it at some point.
