Summary: Vendors selling wares from carts are told by a policeman to "move on"

Review:

Tim: I think the perfect word to describe this early short film is "unremarkable." The film shows a busy market with many people going back and forth, and merchants trying to make a sale. A policeman comes down the street, and one by one, the vendors and move out of the way. That's about all there is to the film. It is under 2 minutes long, so there's no real harm here, but there's not exactly a lot of meat, either.

As is always true for this early films, the most interesting aspect is peeking back through time to see what life was like in the early, early 20th century. It is amazing to see footage from so long ago, and in some ways, I still marvel at the look at the past. However, with short films like this one, I wish there was more to see.

It also makes me think about how quickly cinema moved- you had ultra short films like this one in ths 1900s decade, and by the 1930s, you had classic, unforgettable feature films. It's really pretty amazing, and early movies like this remind me how far we've come in the realm of motion pictures. For that reason, I am glad I watched this short- even if I wasn't "wowed" by it.
