Review:
Tim: Frozen Fever is a pretty cute short that further expands on the relationship between Elsa and Anna, after the events of the original film. The short film doesn't add so much that it's required viewing, but it was legitimately fun to check in on these characters. If you enjoyed Frozen (and I did), this short is definitely worth checking out.
What struck me most about this film is how it perfectly captured the tone and energy of the feature length film. It helped bringing the same directors and most of the cast back. Even though the film is only 8 minutes long, I immediately got caught up in the infectious nature of the events on screen. "Making Today a Perfect Day" is a fairly catchy tune, so it made the film feel like it moved even faster, as we're caught up in the music.
I have to say I was a fan of the little Snowgies- they're these little snowmen that are created when Elsa sneezes. It was a wonderful little device to add new flavor to this story while also connecting with her powers, as established in the original film. There's not a whole lot to say about them, other than they are extremely cute and will appeal to young audiences. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw them pop up again at some point in the future.
So, Frozen Fever is only 8 minutes, so there's not a whole lot to say about it. The short film continues the quality of the original movie and manages to be entertaining and fun despite its short run time. It was fun seeing these characters again. This short film from Disney is well worth seeing.
