Review:
Tim: I was worried about watching this movie because of my personal bias and my strong dislike of Michael Moore. I thought this would make me hate the movie more than I should. I told myself to keep an open mind, but I can't promise that I accomplished this. Luckily for me, Moore made it extremely easy to disalike this movie and form an opinion of the film without getting into all the political debate (which I will try to avoid).

Moore just creates a boring movie. I know documentaries are not the most thrilling genre of films, but both Roger & Me and Bowling for Columbine were much more engaging and interesting than this film. I was thoroughly bored at various points and I honestly couldn't wait for the film to be over. Part of the movie's problem is that Moore makes some outlandish claims, and offers flimsy (at best) evidence to support his claims. In his previous films, Moore had cold, hard facts to deal with (and he still managed to be biased and let that impact his work, but that is another story). Here, everything seems so opinionated and ridiculous. It is hard to take him or jis subject matter seriously (although the events of September 11, 2001 are incredibly serious, just not Moore's take on it).

Perhaps the worst part of the movie comes when Moore narrates what he believes are President Bush's thoughts while he sat in a classroom on 9/11. Moore has absolutely no idea what Bush was thinking, and he manipulates the footage to make it work with his absurd narration. This perfectly sums up the terrible side to his filmmaking.

I truly believe people were blinded by their hatred of Bush, and allowed themselves to be convinced that this film carried some importance. It does not, and I hope you can see through Moore's crap to realize that.
