Summary: The X-Men face a new threat as a top military scientist (Brian Cox) is determined to rid the world of the "mutant problem" by using Professor Xavier (Patrick Stewart) to do his dirty work for him. The X-Men, lead by Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), Jean Grey (Famke Janssen), Storm (Halle Berry), and newcomer Nightcrawler (Alan Cumming) reluctantly team up with Magneto (Ian McKellen) and Mystique (Rebecca Romjin-Stamos) to try and stop this newfound threat to their lives.

Review:
Tim: A rarity in Hollywood, this is a sequel that surpasses the original in almost every way. Director Bryan Singer steps up the action, the plot, and even character development to new levels to produce an extraordinary movie.

The cast of characters are mostly back and even better than the original. Hugh Jackman is once again excellent as Wolverine. Alan Cumming greatly contributes as Nightcrawler, who makes a huge impact with his presence. He also has the film's most powerful and unforgettable line- "Most people will never know anything beyond what they see with their own two eyes." Famke Janssen is very good as Jean Grey and concludes the film in dramatic fashion. I was a little disappointed that Cyclops (James Marsden) was barely in the movie. He was always my favorite and it is a shame he didn't get more screentime. But, with a huge cast, that is to be expected.

This is a very good comic book movie that has enough time to comment on humanity's treatment of different people and the evolution of a species. X-Men fans will absolutely love this movie and this is further proof that Marvel will be making great movies for a long time to come. If they can all be this well made, I will be eternally grateful to everyone involved in rolling out these fantastic movies.
