Review:

Tim: This film was quite an achievement when it first came out. The blend of live action and animation was revolutionary at the time, and is still impressive today. This feels like it skews a little mature to be a children's film, but it does have some of those elements. This gives it an odd, misaligned feel.

The plot is pretty interesting, and really pulls us into this add world where people and toons interact on a daily basis. But, the picture also paints a dark view of this world, which includes lust, murder, sensuality, revenge, and more. This gives the movie such a fascinating, interesting quality to it. This isn't necessarily a children's film.

Bob Hoskins does a good job in the lead role, and he's pretty funny when he interacts with Roger. These are among the best scenes of the film. Christopher Lloyd is a little too over-the-top to be very good. He's mostly just disappointing. The film is rounded out by a plethora of toons, from both Warner Brothers and Disney. This might be my favorite part- seeing icons like Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse togerther. Donald and Daffy Duck have an incredible scene together.

The film is good, but not exactly great. Roger Rabbit tends to be more annoying than funny, which greatly detracts from the film. Some of the scenes are a bit too absurd, even for a movie where humans and toons coexist.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit featured some revolutionary animation blended with live action for the time in which it was released. The film is fairly entertaining, and offers enough excitement to keep everyone entertained. The film is interesting and fairly engaging.
