Review:

This is the scariest movie I've seen since The Ring. I'm not a fan of horror movies, mostly because they are done poorly and aren't scary at all. I was thoroughly creeped out after watching this movie. It definitely succeeds in that department.

I love the idea of using a real phenomenon like EVP as a basis for this movie. The underlying theme is that you shouldn't meddle in things that human beings cannot fully comprehend- like the afterlife. With Ouija boards and seances, people think the dead are a hobby or something fun to explore. This is not always the case, and oftentimes, meddling can lead to disastrous results. I applaud this film for showing both the good and evil sides to any type of contact with the dead.

Michael Keaton is pretty decent in the role. He is at his best when he becomes obsessed with EVP. I hope this is the start of a resurgence of his career.

The special effects are pretty amazing. They provide the film's most frightening moments. The three dark spirits are unforgettable and very scary.

Coming from someone who isn't the biggest horror fan, White Noise is a good movie and I truly did enjoy it. That should say everything I need to say.
