Review:

Tim: This is a trippy, mind-bending journey down the rabbit hole as some very smart people contemplate the inexplicable mysteries of the human mind, the very purpose of our existence, and a slow of other topics that will boggle the mind and create at least some level of controversy. This is done through a hodegepodge of documentary interviews, linear storytelling, and illustrative cartoons. We're swept up in this complicated but fascinating look into human existence. When we come out the other side, we're a bit confused and disoriented, wondering if what we have just seen is a collection of opinions from educated oddballs, or if it is a blueprint for how to infinitely better our lives.

Regardless of your eventual decision on the movie, I still recommend taking the plunge. There is enough here to at least stimulate your thinking. Keep in mind that I am not endorsing the film's beliefs in any way. I buy into some, but certainly not all of what we see and are told. Perhaps the film's greatest strength is the ability to open our eyes and realize that there is a big, mysterious world out there that we don't yet fully comprehend (and ironically perhaps the greatest frontier yet to explore is the mind and soul of the individual human).

What the Bleep Do We Know? is not a show-stopping, life-changing film. However, it is certainly interesting, and if you feel like expanding your mind and contemplating your own existence, then I'd thoroughly recommend seeing this movie. Do it for your brain.
