Review:

Tim: The biggest comedy of 2005 also happens to be a fairly solid movie. Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn are two of the funniest actors in Hollywood today. They work extremely well together, and are very enjoyable.

Wilson is great in the role. He delivers one of the film's funniest lines- "They say we only use 10% of brains, but I think we only use 10% of our hearts." He delivers it perfectly. Wilson has a huge share of the film's laughs, from his answering machine message to his hilarious interactions with Vaughn and Will Ferrell- he is terrific. Vaughn, as usual, fades slightly into the background, but not before being quite funny himself. I love his reaction to the painting (both initially and later on). Ferrell has an absolutely hilarious cameo. The meatloaf scene is hilarious. I'm still not on board the Rachel McAdams bandwagon, but she is pretty good here.

I didn't think this movie was as funny as Anchorman, but it was still very enjoyable. A large part of this comes from the chemistry between Wilson and Vaughn. You can tell these two men absolutely love working together. The fun they have together is contagious for the audience, and that is why people love this movie. The film occasionally felt a little bit vulgar, but that is also very funny.

There may come a time when audiences tire of the whole Owen Wilson, Luke Wilson, Vince Vaughn, Will Ferrell, Ben Stiller pack, but right now, they are hilarious and captivating. This movie is an example of how funny and entertaining they (some at least) can be.
