Summary: Two siblings (Chris O'Donnell, Robin Turrey) are mountain climbing with their father when an accident occurs and they are forced to cut the rope, killing their father, but saving themselves. This greatly effects their relationship, and O'Donnell vows never to climb again. His sister, however, continues on with the dangerous hobby, and disaster strikes on the moutain K2, at 28,000 feet. Now her brother must mount a rescue mission despite overwhelming odds and must race against time to save his sister's life.

Review:

Tim: Vertical Limit is an action packed blast at 28,000 feet. Chris O'Donnell and Robin Turrey give great performances, and Bill Paxton adds a special touch to his role. Scott Glen is also worth mentioning in this film. Vertical Limit adds a special touch to the typical action film. Instead of the usual climactic events taking place on solid ground, all the action takes place on the side of a mountain. This adds a new twist to the boring action film, and makes this an exception.

I recommend this film to any action lover, or if you have lost interest in action films because you figure if you've seen one, you've seen them all- this film will pleasently surprise you. The film also has several very comedic parts, which add a light touch to the film and keep it interesting. Lastly, director Martin Campbell does an excellent job, as he did with Goldeneye and The Mask of Zorro. Vertical Limit is an intense, thrilling action film that you will not be sorry you watched.
