Review:

Tim: Comedies are extremely difficult to make. Just a few inches to one side or the other, and you leave behind funny and enter stupid and ridiculous territory. This film misses the mark by yards. I laughed one time throughout this entire comedy, and that involved the main characters' mother- an extremely small part. None of the "stars" of the film managed to evoke a laugh, smirk, or chuckle out of me. This, folks, is what you call a disaster.

This film has to be one of the lowpoints in Nicholas Cage's career. He is terrible. Especially awful is when he tries to get laugh by getting mad and yelling. I really pity him for having to be in this film- he looks miserable. Dana Carvey seriously needs to be slapped in the face. What a moronic, stupid performance this idiot gives. How could anyone think this is funny, most especially him? He should be absolutely ashamed at this film. Jon Lovitz, suprisingly, seems completely comfortable and at home throughout this entire film. That is probably because he is so used to starring in poor comedies and he's long since killed any shred of decency that might have been inside him. The rest of the cast is like an artshow of the mediocre.

Trapped in Paradise is an awful, amateurish production, and it still leaves me with a disgusting taste in my mouth. I am amazed that someone involved in this film did not halt everything and realize what a gigantic piece of crap they were producing. There are very few redeeming qualities regarding this movie, and I will generally recommend staying as far away from this film as possible.
