Review:

Tim: This is one of the greatest American films of all time. It is an all-time classic. Despite all of this, I felt like this didn't stand up to some other classics. Yes, it is a good movie, and better than most, but doesn't quite compare to similar films of the same era. Still, despite my feelings, this still needs to be on your list, because it is always regarded as one of the greatest American films of all time.

Gregory Peck is outstanding as Atticus Fitch. There is no debate here- he's absolutely terrific. He won the Academy Award for Best Actor, which is no surprise. (The film also won for Best Art Direction and Best Writing). It also features Robert Duvall in an unforgettable role, which happened to be his feature film debut.

This is a film that has some important social commentary. This is a movie with purpose, and a message.
