Review:

Tim: The Third Wheel was a direct-to-video film, but it does not matter in the least. The film is one of the most refreshingly funny movies I have seen in a long time. I actually laughed out loud until I was on the verge of tears several times.

Luke Wilson is a terrific actor. He makes the film enjoyable because he si so charming and likeable. Wilson has his own charisma and uses it brilliantly here. I sincerely hope he has an excellent Hollywood career, because I would watch the guy in just about anything.

This is one of those films that has no business being any good. However, it simply does not care and goes on stubbornly being much, much better than you could imagine. When I first heard that this was a straight-to-video film, I groaned and tried to prepare myself for a bomb. However, I was completely wrong.

Ben Affleck is actually pretty annoying in this film. I can't stand the guy very much anymore since his career seemed to be heading to the toilet. He offers nothing to the film and I felt a little offended that he was in it. However, his buddy Matt Damon plays a very small role which is hilarious. I guess if we have to put up with Affleck to get Damon, then its worth it.

Denise Richards is actually not bad at all. I was quite surprised by this. She usually picks the wrong roles in the wrong films and ends up looking ridiculous. However, she is actually pretty good in this film. I know that may be hard to believe, but it is true.

Rounding out the cast is Jay Locopo. I have no idea who this guy is, but he made me laugh harder than I care to discuss. He gives a memorable and absolutely hilarious performance. I hope he makes more movies, because I'll be there.

On a final note, by far the best scene in the film doesn't involve any of the main characters. It is with that guy that may or may not have been in Office Space. Watch for him at the restaurant and the "What, am I gonna buy a rose for my bread?" line. I laughed and rewound the film and laughed some more. It is very funny.

I definitely recommend seeing this film even if you have to go out of the way to get it. It is not your typical comedy and I am sure very few people know about it, but this is one of those diamonds in the rough. Do what you need to do to get this movie.
