Review:

Tim: James Cameron crafted one of the greatest action sci-fi films of all time. When this film came out in 1984, it revitalized the sci-fi genre, and more important, it set the stage for its industry-changing sequel.

This movie is remarkably intense. We watch as Sarah Conners runs from an indestructable, merciless cyborg bent on her destruction. He chases her relentlessly, killing everything in his path. This accounts for some thrilling, intense scenes. You won't have a moment's rest when watching this film, because you know the Terminator is around every corner.

Arnold Schwarzenegger cemented his place in Hollywood with his chilling portrayal of the Terminator. It didn't require a great range of acting, but it did require a certain presence, which he had. Linda Hamilton also gives a very good performance, as the terrified but strong Sarah Conners. She is one of the great movie heroines (on par with Sigourney Weaver's Ripley).

The Terminator is an excellent movie. Cameron does not let up for a second, and we are left with an amazing science fiction film that you will not soon forget.
