Review:

Tim: The sequel to the surprising smash hit is badly missing Vin Diesel. Tyrese Gibson is more or less Diesel's replacement and on no day under any conditions whatsoever could Tyrese compete with Diesel.

Tyrese is actually really awful in the film. He tries so hard to be a badass/hardass. Half of the time he comes across as childish and absurd.

One of the worst parts of the film is the fighting between Walker and Tyrese. He's a sample of the dialogue- "Shut you!" "No you shut up!" It is like listening to two annoying brat children being immature. Everyone in the film is so arrogant and cocky that it almost makes me sick watching it.

Despite these flaws, the film manages to be a pretty exciting ride. You have amazing cars swerving in and out of traffic while being pursued by police. The action here is intense.

Paul Walker is decent as he was in the original and Eva Mendes has never been hotter. The two work well together.

2 Fast 2 Furious is decent, but lacks the freshness of the original film. The sequel tries way too hard to be cool and sick. The attempt falls flat, as does the movie. On another note, the title is just plain stupid. The Fast and the Furious 2 would have been much better. But, I digress.
