Review:

Tim: I wish Samuel L. Jackson had some self-respect left. If he did, he might not have signed onto this movie after only reading the title (which is true). This is an absolutely terrible movie. There might be no redeeming qualities to this film, save for Jackson's infamous explicative-laced line. And, three seconds do not warrant watching a film.

There are so many flaws in this film. For starters, the acting is simply atrocious. We're talking painfully bad here. Then, the rest of the film is ridiculous. It's really just an excuse to see snakes biting people in obscene places (I believe all those places are covered here). The film is so cliche-ridden that it almost feels as if they did it on purpose. To be honest, the whole movie feels like it was purposely made as cheesy as possible, shooting for that so-bad-its-good range. Instead, it lands in the so-bad-it-makes-you-suicidal-area.

The whole film is so absurd. The whole premise of drugged out, angry, snakes is dumb, but there are so many additional disasters that make very little logical sense. None of these are particularly thrilling or exciting. Instead of being suspeseful, we're left with this awful trainwreck that we want to look away from, but at the same time, can't do it.

The cast is terrible. Jackson has enough experience to be decent in any movie, however. Julianna Margulies is talented enough not to be terrible, but the rest of the cast is awful. They are mere shadows of actual characters, none of which are interesting. When they die, we really don't care at all. In fact, the less characters on screen, the better it gets.

Snakes on a Plane is a terrile film. We're talking the worst of the worst here. I can't believe how awful this is, and if Jackson had any good will left with audiences, he surely spent it all up with this bomb.
