Review:
Tim: This is one of the scariest films I have ever seen, and perhaps my all time favorite scary movie. I almost never get scared while watching movies, and I was thoroughly creeped out after watching this movie. Much better to describe this movie is "creepy" rather than scary- it is probably the creepiest movie of all time. Don't be fooled, however, this won't comfort you during the film's most frightening moments.
The Ring is a horror movie of intelligence, with a mystery at its heart that offers a twisting, remarkable ride that imprints itself on our minds and refuses to go away.
Naomi Watts is the idealistic horror film heroine. She is smart, pretty, and captures our emotions as her character goes through some truly frightening experiences.
Watts' character's son is extremely creepy and possesses the intelligence and that knowing look at keeps us on the edge of our seats and never really allows us to be comfortable with him.
The story is done so well. Every twist and turn is unexpected and leads us further down a mysterious path towards a fate from which the characters- and we- cannot escape.
Watch this movie in a dark room and you will have one of the most creepy and frightening experiences you can get from watching a movie. The Ring is amazing and possibly my all time favorite horror movie.
