Summary: A construction worker (David Duchovny) has his life altered when his wife is killed in a car accident. Unknown to him, his wife's heart is donated to a sick waitress (Minnie Driver). Some time afterwards, the two by chance meet and begin a relationship. Everything is going fine until the secret that connects them surfaces and threatens to destroy what they have built.

Review:

Tim: Return to Me is a terrible film. One of the many reasons for that statement is because I simply cannot stand Minnie Driver. This film highlights all of the reasons I dislike her. I would disclose further, but out of kindness for her, I will keep my disgust to myself.

One of the major problems that I had with the film was Duchovny's character seems all too willing to move on after his wife's death. Yes, this occurs a year afterwards, but a new woman in his life should give him some pause. We seen none.

I also hated Driver's character's obsession with her scar. First off, it is kinda sick and I don't want to look at something like that. More importantly, she is so concerned with it. I just want to shout, "Get over it you vain loser!"

Another major problem I had with this film is that Duchovny and Driver have no chemistry whatsoever. His first wife (in the film) is very pretty and Driver isn't at all. I have no idea what would bring the two together and watching them, the answer is nothing.

Return to Me is boring and represents most of worst aspects of romantic comedies. It is a flimsy, weak, and ridiculous movie and I can think of a million better ways to spend your time. Please don't waste your life with this film.
