Summary: When a crate arrives at a Chicago Museum from the jungle of Brazil, scientist Margo Green (Penelope Ann Miller), realizes something is wrong. As bodies are found decapitated with a part of their brain missing, a Chicago cop, Lieutenant D'Agosta (Tom Sizemore) begins to realize the killer is more than human. Together, Miller and Sizemore must use all their resources to kill the beast before it destroys the museum and kills any more.

Review:

Tim: This movie is downright awful. Nothing seems to work in this film. The contrast between Penelope Ann Miller's logical, factual scientist and Tom Sizemore's superstitious cop is just laughable. The plot itself barely holds together, and the bullshit meter is running awfully high on this one.

A huge flaw in this film is that Miller's character just doesn't show up for about half an hour, and instead of watching the screen, you find yourself wondering where the heck she is. I also believe the bright spot of the film was the monster. It was filmed "live" and by computer, and in the few scenes near the end when you actually see it, it is incredible to look at.

Don't even bother watching this film. It is a total waste of money and time. One last comment is the incredibly moronic sound the monster makes (it sounds like a wheezing asthmatic). I am not kidding- they have a scene where Penelope Ann Miller mistakes a lady security guard with asthma for the monster. Stay away from this film!
