Review:

Tim: This movie is awful. It is so bad, I can't even begin to put this into words. I actually was slightly excited about the prospect of this movie. It actually appealed to me. However, it was so terrible, so godawful that I can barely speak of it.

First off, Hilary Swank should NOT do romance of any kind. She seemed completely out of her element. I didn't believe her for one second. This is a woman with two Academy Awards, and she looked terrible throughout the film. I can't even begin to describe my distaste for her in this movie. Gerard Butler is actually fairly decent. He's by no means great, but I felt no anger or annoyance with him at all. Lisa Kudrow is incredibly annoying. Kathy Bates is worthless, and near the end, incredibly cheesy. I did enjoy seeing Jeffrey Dean Morgan, but that might be more from "Grey's Anatomy" than this film.

I want to devote an entire paragraph to Harry Connick, Jr. His performance is so ridiculous, so terrible, that he even eclipses the awfulness of Swank. His role is disgustingly stupid and he gives such a terrible, worthless performance that I simply want to get it out of my head. He is really, really bad.

None of the cast is helped out by the poorly thought-out, clunky script. The film pulls surprises out of no where, none of which make very much sense, and aren't fully grounded in reality. The film drags in more places than you thought was possible.

I could go on, but I feel like I've made my point abundantly clear. P.S. I Love You is about as poor a movie as is even possible. I hated this movie.
