Summary: Two producers (Matthew Broderick, Nathan Lane) decide to put on the worst Broadway show of all time because they realize they can make more money from a flop than a hit.

Review:

Tim: This film has the interesting distinction of being a movie based on a play which was based on a movie. Only in Hollywood, right? Well, the story itself might be fairly strong, and the play might have been impressive, but something was lost in all of the translations. This film is bad.

I'm not sure if you could find better people for the roles played by Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane, but neither is too strong. They are both too over-the-top to be of any good. The same goes for Uma Thurman. Will Ferrell is also over-the-top, but it surprisingly works for him, so he manages to give the best performance in a pretty rotten film.

My problem with the film is that it just isn't funny, and it is more exhausting than enjoyable. I just simply did not find this movie worthwhile in nearly every sense. I was beyond disappointed.
