Review:

Tim: This is just an ineffective, silly movie. The premise itself just barely holds together, and when the movie moves along, it completely unravels. I'm not sure exactly what they were aiming for, but they totally missed the mark. This doesn't even seem like a film that could have been good. It seems like it would have been terrible no matter what. The movie toys with being interesting and suspenseful, but never quite gets there. The movie falls apart near the end, ending in just absurd, cliche-ridden fashion.

Sandra Bullock is decent, and manages to look pretty disheveled and disturbed. She's not great, though. She has had much better roles. Julian McMahon is decent, but doesn't have much to do. The supporting cast is weak. Really, this movie is all about Bullock, and she's not even that great. The cast drops the ball on this one. Even the kids aren't quite great.

The film is pretty confusing for awhile. Working through this, the movie does make more sense. Going into the final act, we do actually have some hope that maybe this will all come together. Sadly, just when the movie could have redeemed itself, it fails. It does offer a pretty surprising moment, but that is soon spoiled. The flaws overshadow any positives.

This feels like a rushed, haphazardly thrown together movie. There is just too much weakness here to be effective. Premonition is a poor, silly movie that doesn't make much of an impact on us at all. There are some miserably pathetic scenes that drag the entire film down. I don't see how this film could have been successful, but it certainly could have been better. This is a disappointing movie that offers litle to be excited about. I had a premonition that this movie would suck, and hey, it does.
