Review:
Tim: I entered this film with high hopes. The trailer for the film looked great, and I was excited for the star power that Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman bring to the screen. What I was in for during the next 104 minutes fell way, way short of my expectations. The film has very little plot. For the first forty-five minutes I found myself asking, "What has happened thus far in this movie?" It was difficult to tell.
The film is confusing to watch throughout. You often wonder what is happening, and why you are being shown this. Bullock and Kidman act beautifully in the film, but all the acting in the world couldn't save this movie from it's mediocre plot, choppy scenes, and much, much more.
I wholeheartedly do not recommend this movie if you have any life whatsoever. There are a million different activities you could partake in that wouldn't waste an hour and a half of your life. If you are considering selecting this film for its romance- don't. Bullock and Quinn have no spark, no chemistry whatsoever. If you desire romance, go elsewhere.
In conclusion, despite the star potential of Bullock and Kidman and the excellent supporting cast, do not be duped into purchasing or renting this movie.
