Summary: Terry Benedict (Andy Garcia) tracks down Danny Ocean (George Clooney) and demands that he and his eleven pay back the $160 million they stole from him, with interest. Ocean's Eleven are back together, and travel to Europe to try to pull off enough heists there to pay it all back.

Review:

Tim: Ocean's Twelve is equally as stylish and as cool as the original. It is amazing that they brought everyone back for the sequel, and even added in Catherine Zeta-Jones. Unfortunately, the film grossly fails in the plot and the actual heist. In the first film, we are amazed at how clever Ocean's eleven are when they pull off the perfect crime, thinking of every angle and outsmarting everyone. The plot here is too confusing and the audience will leave feeling tricked, rather than satisfied. You will know what I mean after you watch it.

The cast is pretty amazing once again. George Clooney and Brad Pitt are at their charasmatic best and shine in every scene together. Julia Roberts is pretty funny in an unconventional and original plot twist. Matt Damon is great as the somewhat inexperienced thief, played up even more in this film (and a drastic departure from his Bourne Identity coolness). I was disappointed Don Cheadle didn't have more to do. Catherine Zeta-Jones is pretty much wasted, as her character is weakly developed and doesn't seem all that great next to Pitt (failing miserably in comparison to the Clooney-Roberts chemistry).

I normally don't comment on my own ratings, but I have to make an exception. Ocean's Twelve is not as good as Ocean's Eleven, but I just couldn't in good conscience lower this film's rating to a 7. It is in limbo around 7.25. I rounded it up to be fair to this film, but I want you to know that while it achieved the same rating as the original, it is just the slightest bit lower.
