Review:

Tim: Alfred Hitchcock is responsible for some of the most thrilling films to ever grace the screen. Notorious is a solid effort, but this is not on par with some of the better known Hitchcock films.

Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman both do a very good job in their roles. They are convincing, believable, and quite entertaining. They have a good bit of chemistry together.

For a while, the movie seems as if it might be another solid hit by Hitchcock. However, as the movie progresses, it begins to lose steam. By the end of the film, it is increasingly difficult to like the characters or to stay particularly interested in what is happening to them. We did care at one point, but no longer.

Notorious is an entertaining film, but compared to classics like Rear Window or North by Northwest, it leaves something to be desired. That is unfortunate.
