Review:

Tim: The Naked Gun is actually a very funny spoof of cop movies. It does what every good spoof should do- completely rip to shreds the genre being spoofed, while keeping us entertained and laughing.

Some of the funniest scenes don't even involve the actual spoofing of police films- for example, O.J. Simpson's subsequent injuries after being shot, Nielsen taking an exquisite piss with a microphone one, and many others. The "And where the hell am I?" line during Lielsen's narrator voice over is particularly humorous.

However, there are quite a few unfunny moments as well (especially the entire baseball game) and quite a few jokes that fall flat. For every humorous moment, there's one that should be and isn't. The film is really hit and miss, and luckily, there are enough hits to make it enjoyable.

Leslie Nielsen does a good job leading us through the film. His comedic timing is great and he definitely knows how to pull off a spoof. O.J. Simpson is actually pretty funny in a pre-murderous rage performance.

The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! is a classic spoof comedy that is definitely worth watching.
