Review:

Tim: This film is much better than the sad and depressing original. My Girl 2 is much more upbeat and lively. The film is excellent because it attempts to appeal to children while dealing with some very adult issues, such as sex, multiple marriages, sex before marriage, etc. I also think the relationship between Nick and Vada was a little much. Overall, a good film though.I'm not saying that it won't appeal to prepubescent girls, but I just don't like the closeness of the relationship to that of cousin-cousin. It's just a little bizarre.

This isn't a bad movie to rent for your children, but I wouldn't recommend buying the film because the kids will watch it over and over and it will drive you crazy. It's a good film for kids, and has some appeal for adults, but I couldn't watch it more than once a year.
