Review:

Tim: I suppose I'm partly responsible for this sequel since I liked the original far more than I should have. For whatever reason, here we are, revisiting a character that shouldn't have been so successful the first time around. This time, we have the sickening subtitle, Armed and Fabulous. I'm dry heaving just thinking about that ridiculous addition.

Sandra Bullock has trouble keeping her boyfriends in her sequels. She losr Keanu Reeves for Speed 2: Cruise Control (wise choice, Keanu),a nd Benjamin Bratt wisely bailed on her for this sequel. She should take this into consideration for her future roles.

I like the idea of two women in the "buddy flick without the buddies" formula, but I would not have picked Regina King as her partner. She's too over-the-top and just not believable at all. She gets into her character for a few scenes, but mostly just fails miserably. I applaud the attempt to put two women together for a buddy cop flick, but the results here are disastrious.

The biggest mistake the film made was changing Bullock's character. Without giving away too much of the movie, pay attention to the "transformation" Gracie Hart goes through- it is completely ridiculous, unnecessary, and destroys the best thing about the original. You cannot just completely change a character for a sequel!

I'll admit I laughed a few times, but I was mostly disappointed across the board. I suppose this is my punishment for really enjoying the original. I'll try not to make a similiar mistake again.
