Summary: Ewan McGregor is a janitor who kidnaps a multi-millionaire's daughter (Cameron Diaz). Delroy Lindo and Holly Hunter play emissaries from Heaven who must get the couple to fall in love or be banished from heaven forever. McGregor bumbles throught the kidnapping, and is actually aided by Diaz, who is more in control of the situation than he is. They undergo love moments and hate moments, and Lindo and Hunter try desperately to get them to fall in love. As Diaz and McGregor embark upon their adventure, they desire to simply live "a life less ordinary".

Review:

Tim: This is a bizarre, bizarre movie, but I really liked it. Ewan McGregor is excellent in this film. He is simply hilarious in his bumbling kidnap attempts as well as his innocence. Diaz is fairly good in this movie, but short of spectacular. Lindo and Hunter's characters are perhaps the weakest part of the movie, and the whole emissaries from Heaven does not work. However, the comedy and romance more than makes up for it, and makes this an excellent movie.

This is a decent movie, but not spectacular. The film is actually quite ordinary, but the comedic side makes the movie good. If you are up for a side-splitting comedy, this isn't it. If you are in for a deeply romantic movie, this isn't it. However, something about this movie makes it all work and is definetly worth renting- don't buy it though.
