Review:

Tim: This movie came unbelievably, heartbreakingly close to matching its predecessor. The film wisely stays true to the original without feeling like it is just the same movie recycled. All the action, jokes, and laughs feel just as fresh as in the original. This is quite an achievement. I am so impressed at how this film flawlessly carried the story onward, showing no signs of the faults that plague the vast majority of sequels.

Mel Gibson and Danny Glover once again are outstanding. They work together so well and are so fun to watch on screen. I noticed that Gibson did not act as insane as he did in the original. This was one of the most entertaining aspects of that film, and I miss it. It is truly understandable, as it would be hard to watch a franchise where one of your two protagonists is suicidal and a bit mental. Regardless, Gibson is excellent in the role. Glover is equally as good, although I wish he would have uttered his "I'm getting too old for this shit" like a little more.

This is a terrific entry in one of the best action comedy buddy cop franchises. The bar has been set incredibly high with both of these movies. See this movie not only because it is hilarious and wildly entertaining, but for its impressive continuation of the origina. Lethal Weapon 2 is a shining example for sequels everywhere.
