Summary: During a huge legal case, a big shot attorney (Pierce Brosnan) and his courtroom opponent (Julianne Moore) spent a night drinking and partying and wake up the next day married. This obviously complicates not only their lives, but the important trial that they both desperately want to win.

Review:

Tim: This is a poor, poor excuse for a romantic comedy. Pierce Brosnan and Julianne Moore are both great actors, but together they just don't have the chemistry needed for a movie like this. Moore is quite likeable at times and we side with her immediately. Brosnan seems to try too hard and comes off as difficult to believe and a little too over-the-top.

Despite the film's shortcomings, the basic premise and the characters actually work. However, when the whole plot (especially the climactic trial) is added in, everything seems to fall apart.

Especially difficult to watch are the "adventures" in Scotland. These are not exciting, funny, or particularly interesting.

The film suffers from a tired and lame plot. The biggest problem is the ridiculous situations Brosnan and Moore get themselves into. Perhaps if they had more chemistry together, we could forgive the weaker parts of the film. Unfortunately, they don't, and we can't.
