Summary: A bumbling British officer, T.E. Lawrence (Peter O'Toole) requests a transfer to Arabia, where he undergoes a transformation after teaming with the Arabs against Turkish forces. The Arabs see Lawrence as a savior and a great warrior, and as he leads them to victory after victory, he becomes more and more assimilated into their culture, and less to the British one he grew up in.

Review:

Tim: Lawrence of Arabia is still today one of the most sweeping, brilliant epics of all time. In 1962, the scope of the film was far beyond most movies. The landscapes themselves are outstanding to watch. This film was the clear winner for the Academy Award for Best Picture. The desert scenes and battles are all of epic qualit. This film is widely regarded as one of the greatest films of all time.

This is also the movie that launched the career of Peter O'Toole. He was virtually unknown before this film introduced him to the moviegoing world. He gives an outstanding performance as Lawrence. It is too bad that he didn't win Best Actor for his performance.

Lawrence is a fascinating character that lead an extraordinary life. This film tells the story of that life brilliantly.

Lawrence of Arabia is about as big of a movie as Hollywood makes. It is a classic and deserves to be seen by every movie lover out there. It is exciting, intense, and interesting to watch. I sincerely believe everyone should see this movie.
