Review:

Tim: I had high hopes for this film because I so thoroughly enjoyed Zach Braff's Garden State. However, here, this isn't Braff's film, and following from others' direction, we're left with a somewhat disappointing film.

The film scores points because it does not try to sugarcoat relationships. Indeed, after watching it, I felt quite soured on the whole idea of relationships. It doesn't pull any punches, choosing instead to give us a realistic, somewhat bleak view of how people in love often hurt each other. This isn't the most romantic viewpoint, but an important one nonetheless.

The film is greatly, greatly helped by Zach Braff. I know some people don't like him, but I'll always love him for "Scrubs." Here, he manages to make us laugh far more than we probably would have. He sincerely does an impressive job, and saves a decent movie from being a terrible one.
