Review:

Tim: Kill Bill, Volume 2 is considerably better than Volume 1, but that is not necessarily saying a whole lot. I know most people absolutely love these films, but I was slightly disappointed in them. Perhaps frequent viewings will increase my appreciation of them, but at this point in time, I feel as I feel.

Uma Thurman is quite good again in the lead role. David Carradine's actual presence in this film adds a whole new element. It is quite enjoyable to see him on the big screen. I remember fondly watching him on the television show, "Kung Fu: The Legend Continues." He is excellent as Bill. I was slightly disappointed with both Michael Madsen and Daryl Hannah. The first film really showcased Vivica A. Fox and Lucy Liu, but this film treats the second half of the team less strongly. They are almost an afterthought, as the entire film focuses on Bill.

Along with this, it felt like Kill Bill, Volume 2 was somewhat anticlimactic. I expected the film to reach an utter boiling point, but it never quite does. This is slightly disappointing. There are actually very little action/fight scenes. The best part of Volume 1 was the fight scene with the Crazy 88's. There is no such entertaining fare in this one. The battles witht he rest of the gang don't add up to their potential. However, it should be known that this film is an improvement on its predecessor.

If you saw Kill Bill, Volume 1, then you need to see this film so you know how the story ends. It is slightly disappointing, but much better than the first volume. Here you have an actual conclusion to the story. If these films had been only 1 movie, I cannot imagine how amazing it would have been.
