Summary: Two college students, a brother (Justin Long) and his sister (Gina Phillips) are almost knocked off the road by a strange old truck. They believe the driver dumped a body in a sewer drain, so they go back to investigate. What they find frightens the hell out of them and they are then hunted down by the driver, who may not even be human.

Review:

Tim: The film has an entertaining beginning. Watching two siblings talk and fight during a long car ride shouldn't be very exciting. But, for whatever reason, it is enjoyable to watch. It also sets a good tone for the movie. Once you establish the relationship between the two main characters, the film is then ready to get real creepy.

Everything about this movie should be cheesy and awful. Come on, "Jeepers Creepers"? Please. However, much to my surprise, its not cheesy or awful. Its actually pretty good. This film knows all the horror cliches and shows that it is more intelligent than you might expect. Watch for the scene between the Creeper and the car. It is brilliant and sums up what kind of horror movie this is- an intelligent one.

Despite my seeming praise for Jeepers Creepers, it still suffers from some problems most horror movies do. The stupid kids should run when they don't, etc. There is just a sense of general stupidity on the main characters in general. Now, you could tell me that they were just too scared to think straight, but that would be an easy way out.

So the film has a few problems. It is remarkable that this film isn't horrible. It is actually far better than it should be. As a result, I did enjoy this film. However, although I have not seen it, I feel almost positive that the sequel sucks (they were lucky this one didn't, they should have stopped while they were ahead).
