Review:

Tim: The best part of this movie is undoubtedly the cast. Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt together is a stroke of genius, and these two acting superstars are excellent together. As if the meeting of these two men wasn't enough, the cast also includes Christian Slater, Antonio Banderas, and Kirsten Dunst! Each of these actors give terrific performances.

I really like the idea of having a vampire sit down and tell his life story. Too often vampires are depicted solely as bloodsucking monsters. They aren't just evil monsters, but have a softer side as well. Anne Rice has done wonders in regards to public relations for vampires, and this movie brings her message to a whole new audience.

Interview With the Vampire is a very gory movie. Vampires themselves are associated with blood and gore, but this film vividly portrays that. Those that are squeemish may want to pass this film by... or be prepared to look away every few minutes.

While Cruise and Pitt are superb on the screen, special mention needs to be given to Kirsten Dunst. While many years younger than her excellent costars, she holds her own in many scenes involving her, Cruise, and Pitt. This feat is remarkable, and must be seen to be believed.

Interview With the Vampire has a pretty crazy ending, and is all in all a very interesting film. In regards to the larger body of vampire films out there, it ranks in the higher end of good vampire movies. It certainly helped the careers of those involved, and best of all for us viewers, is quite entertaining.
