Review:

Tim: This is an absolutely exhausting movie, but in a good way. There is so much fast-paced energy and excitement in this screwball comedy that it leaves you gasping for breath by its conclusion. It actually requires a great deal of energy to keep up with the story and the lightning-quick dialogue of the cast. It is so easy to miss a faunny line or a humorous comment. This film requires our attention from start to finish. This is why this charming movie is so fun to watch.

The cast is very good. Cary Grant is occasionally hit or miss, but he definitely gives a 100% effort performance here. He is not the most likeable character, but he goes at it with all of his energy, and you have to respect that.

Rosalind Russell is excellent as well. She matches Grant's incredible energy, and even manages to surpass him. This is really her story, and it is exhausting watching her flying all around the scenes, carrying on multiple conversations, and holding our entire focus. She is the most important character in the film, and makes this movie enjoyable. The supporting cast is surprisingly effective.

This film is definitely a classic, and there is so much here to find enjoyment from. Pay attention to the timing of the film- it absolutely blows my mind how this whole thing manages to work. And, work it does. This film is well worth your time. Oh, and if you were wondering about the title, it comes from "Robinson Crusoe."
