Review:

Tim: This movie is entirely and completely about Robert De Niro and Al Pacino. These are two incredible actors that have proven their talent again and again in some truly great movies. To finally see them here together, on screen at the same time, for te first time ever, that is what going to the movies is all about. For this reason alone, you must see this movie. Luckily, it happens to be a great movie as well.

The cast is excellent. De Niro and Pacino are at their best as they square off against each other. Their first scene together, at the restaurant, is legendary. You can literally feel the buildup to the moment and see the respect these two men have for each other's work. This is definitely a great movie moment.

The supporting cast is excellent, with Val Kilmer, Tom Sizemore, and Jon Voight all giving good supporting performances. You then have actors like Ashley Judd, Natalie Portman, and Hank Azaria in even smaller roles. This is one terrific cast.

The movie is thrilling and action-packed. The story is so interesting, as we watch thief De Niro trying to get away from cop Pacino. Both men are competent and very good at what they do. This will inevitably lead to a climactic show down between these two men. I would have liked a little more time spent on the De Niro=Pacino match up and less on the stories of the supporting characters but as is, this is a great movie and is one of the rare contemporary films that became an instant classic.
