Summary: Happy Gilmore (Adam Sandler) is a wanna-be hockey player who suddenly realizes he can drive a golf ball over 300 yards. He is forced to join the PGA Tour to make money to buy back his grandmother's house, which has been reposessed by the IRS. However, Gilmore resents the fact he is a golfer, and refuses to play by the rules. A publicist (Julie Bowen) tries to calm him down and help him reach his full potential. However, the golf ace, Shooter McGavin (Christopher McDonald) can't stand Happy, and will do everything in his power to bring him down.

Review:

Tim: Adam Sandler scores a win with this movie. Happy Gilmore is very, very, funny, due almost entirely to Sandler. McDonald does bring a good comedic touch as Ace McGavin. The film is just very funny, and worth seeing.

Tim: This movie also features one of the funniest scenes in memory, between Happy's grandmother and Ben Stiller. The "Please, sir, can I trouble you for a glass of warm milk?" scene is hilarious, and is Stiller's reply of, "You can trouble me for a warm glass of shut-the-hell-up. Check out the name tag, you're in my world now Grandma." This movie works well throughout, and touches many comedic events that aren't regularly seen- for instance, the fight between Gilmore and Bob Barker! This is a movie worth seeing.

Tim: I recommend Happy Gilmore if you like Adam Sandler, or even if you just enjoy a good laugh. This film is very good, and you will be glad you watched it.
