Summary: Recently graduated from college, Benjamin Braddock (Dustin Hoffman) is seduced by Mrs. Robinson (Anne Bancroft), a woman some thirty years his senior. After they enter into a steamy affair, Benjamin's parents and Mr. Robinson push him to date Elaine, the Robinsons' daughter. Obviously this causes some strife with Mrs. Robinson, who wants to continue their affair.

Review:

Tim: This is an incredible motion picture. It is a classic that stands up decades after its release. THe film is put together so perfectly by Director Mike Nichols. The Graduate is a rare film that entertains, provokes thoughts and emotions, and does not soon leave you.

The film is undeniably funny. Some of the scenes have such subtle and intellectual humor that you can't help but shake your head and laugh.

Dustin Hoffman gives an outstanding performance. He wasn't even supposedly "right" for the role, but he captures it perfectly and makes it his own.

Anne Bancroft also wasn't the first choice for her role, but she is also perfect. She is exactly what the sexy, seductive Mrs. Robinson needs to be.

Simon and Garfunkel do an outstanding job with the music. Director Mike Nichols uses it in all the right places to compliment the film. The incredible song, "Mrs. Robinson" is used brilliantly, first as a humming, then the music, and finally, the words.

The Graduate is a classic and important film. It deserves to be seen. I highly, highly recommend it.
