Review:

Tim: This film is the third in the "Man With No Name" series, the first two being A Fistful of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More. This film is generally regarded as the best in the trilogy. Clint Eastwood gives his usual brilliant performance, and he has a great supporting cast of Cleef and Wallach. These three men, each with their own personalities and characteristics give the audience an interesting look at a search for Confederate gold.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly is one of the greatest western epics of all time. Sergio Leone gives us a beautiful film (the remastered DVD is all the more brilliant), with his sweeping scenery and close-ups of the main characters. Any western fan (and I'll admit this one of my least-knowledgeable movie areas) must see this film. It typifies everything that is great about westerns. Plus, it stars Clint Eastwood, probably the greatest western actor of all time.

Like I previously mentioned, Westerns are not my forte. Its not that I don't like them, I just haven't been exposed to too many of them. However, from my somewhat limited experience, I can still tell a good film when I see one. This film is not only a great western, but a great film as well. All film-lovers should see this, as its a classic.
