Review:

Tim: Goldfinger is the film that set the formula for all James Bond movies to follow. It is a classic. The two best lines are, Bond- "Do you expect me to talk?" Goldfinger- "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die." This is classic, as is the scene with the laser gun getting ever closer to Bond's favorite body parts. Another classic line is: Bond- "Who are you?" Pussy Galore- "My name is Pussy Galore." Bond- "I must be dreaming..." Connery delivers this last line so wonderfully that you can't help marvel at his acting ability.

This is a very good action film. Bond has never been cooler. He has so many clever quips and gives off such charm that you can't help loving every minute of it.

The action in this film starts a trend toward the improbably. Everything is realistic, but Bond begins to take part in borderline-unbelievable yet really cool action sequences.

The introduction of Goldfinger sets up a formitable opponent for 007, the best since Dr. No in the original. This film doesn't have a whole lot of action, but the movie keeps you entertained.

Continuing the Bond girl watch, in this, the third undertaking of 007, the secret agent is with another four women, bringing the total up to: Women Count- 11. I am making an assumption involving the girl in the tub in the beginning as well as the girl sunbathing. Thus far in the experiment, it seems like the normal number is 3-4. It will be interesting to see if this number changes throughout the decades, and what social influences would occur to make those changes necessary.

It is interesting to watch this movie in progression with the first two films to see how Bond adventures evolved on screen.
