Summary: After a car accident that kills their parents, two teens (Leelee Sobiesky, Trevor Morgan) go to live with their new legal guardians (Stellan Skarsgaard, Diane Lane). However, they soon discover that their guardians may be the ones that planned the car accident in order to collect on a life insurance policy worth millions.

Review:

Tim: If anything, this movie shows that Leelee Sobieski is a better supporting actress than a leading one. She does a good enough job to carry the film, but is still too inexperienced and perhaps not talented enough to make the role or the movie her own.

The Glass House is a pretty decent psychological thriller. Stellan Skarsgaard makes for a very creepy antagonist. The film moves slowly, but more or less keeps us in a constant state of suspense.

The story is pretty good and at least somewhat believable. Some of the scenes are pretty boring, but you'll have that. In many ways, the film feels like a weak attempt at a thriller. Despite its best efforts not to succeed, the film is decently entertaining.

There is no real reason to put any effort into seeing this movie. It would be best to catch it on television for free some night when you're bored. Don't pay for it.

In the spirit of leaving on a good note, I'll say that if you can make it through the whole film, the conclusion is actually quite good. Making it there is the challenging part.
