When the Ghostbusters realize two New Yorkers have been possessed, one the gatekeeper (Sigourney Weaver), and the other, the keymaster (Rick Moranis), they soon unravel the plan for world domination by a ghostly demigod, Gozer. Now the Ghostbusters must battle to not only protect their city, but the world as well.

Review:

Tim: This film is a classic. It made the list of the American Film Institute's Top 100 Comedies of all time- at a very respectable #28. This film introduced so many themes into American culture, and had such an impact on the younger generations, spawning off a number of cartoon series.

This film was beautifully directed by Ivan Reitman, and wonderfully written by Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd, who also starred in the film. The film is so complete that there are very few if any flaws in the movie. At times it is truly scary, but mostly it is just plain funny.

Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson, as well as the rest of the cast brings such great humor to the film, however, it is truly the work of Bill Murray that makes this film so great. He is absolutely hilarious in this film. His facial expressions, witty lines delivered perfectly, and overall comic genius make this film nothing less than spectacular. The writing for this film was spectacular as well, as nearly all the characters have their share of simply hilarious lines. However, Murray definitely gets the largest and best lines, and is amazing to watch.

Perhaps the greatest scene in this film is the one involving the 100ft. Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. The only word that you can use to describe this is: classic. The Ghostbusters battle a 100ft. Marshmallow Man. Read that again. That is brilliant right there, and is so hilarious and yet terrifying to watch.

This film is and always will be a classic film that you just simply have to see. The film is nonstop fun from the opening scene to the final battle with Gozer. If you want to see a movie that will scare you, make you smile, allow you to see a piece of history, and laugh uncontrollably, this film is for you. The "Ghostbusters" theme song is incredible as well- if you haven't seen this film, you are seriously missing out. Go get it now!
