Summary: After getting a raise, Dick (Jim Carrey) convinces his wife Jane (Tea Leoni) to quit her job. Immediately after, Dick's corporation goes belly-up and he loses his job. As mounting bills destroy their lifestyle, Dick and Jane decide to resort to a life of crime to pay their bills.

Review:
Tim: Wow, this movie is terrible. The film isn't funny at all, it isn't very interesting or exciting, and the only saving grace is that it's only 90 minutes long. The plot is awful, and the movie's conclusion is so stupid and ridiculous that it makes the movie even worse, which is an achievement.

I place great blame for this mess on both director Dean Parisot and the screenwriters (Judd Apatow included). Surprisingly, I can't really blame Jim Carrey. While his career seems a far way away from where it used to be, he's not at fault here. He gives his typical high-energy, emotional performance. While he's not exactly great here, he gave the movie everything he had. Tea Leoni, however, is awful. She's not funny in the least, and more than anything, she is annoying. Looking at this movie as an example, Leoni should stay far, far away from comedies. Alec Baldwin is also too over-the-top to be very good. The cast isn't great at all, but a great deal of their poor performances come from the awful script.

There may have been one or two humorous points throughout this movie, but honestly, I can't remember them. They were somehow lost in the shuffle of the waves of boredom and absurdness that are awash over this movie. This might have been a decent film, but the comedy is so watered down that it is nearly impossible that it won't leave a bad taste in your mouth.

Fun With Dick and Jane is ironically not fun at all. Boredom With Dick and Jane would have been a much more appropriate title. I did not like this movie at all, and I hope I can avoid it for the rest of my life.
