Review:

Tim: I was looking forward to this movie because I heard it was really funny, but I wasn't prepared for how much I would like it. I very much enjoyed this film, and found myself laughing quite a bit. This is one of those comedies with heart, and it is so much fun to watch.

I know nothing about Jason Segel, but he gives a terrific performance here. He is such a goofy, silly everyman. I actually really enjoyed him throughout this movie and I hope he continues making movies. I saw a little more of him then I would have liked, but he was really funny. Kristen Bell is quite good as well- she is believable, both as a selfish, terrible person, and as a woman who gave everything she had and it wasn't enough. Her performance was so important for this movie, and she pulls it off beautifully. However, the best performance of the film undoubtedly goes to Mila Kunis. I only vaguely knew of her before this film, but I was blown away. She is stunning. She plays this ultra-cool girl that is absolutely perfect for our hero. Their growing friendship is one of the best aspects of the entire movie. Their relationship is what makes this movie enjoyable, and Kunis deserves great credit for it. Paul Rudd and Jonah Hill were both good additions to the cast, although neither one makes much of an impact on the movie.

This movie has some hilarious scenes. The naked break-up is so, so funny. I also love the dinner near the end with both "couples." This might be my favorite scene of the entire movie. I also have to mention the Dracula musical song. This should have been awful, but it comes across as very, very funny.

Possible the best part of this movie is that it looks at relationships in a very adult manner. The characters often don't act like adults, but this is a very realistic look at relationships, why some work, and others don't. This makes the entire movie better, and all the craziness that happens isn't for naught- it is for a reason. I really enjoyed Forgetting Sarah Marshall. It is one of the funniest, most entertaining movies I've seen in a while.
