Review:

Tim: Never, ever, ever cheat on your wife. That is the lesson this film showed every man who ever watch it. Uniquely, it doesn't try to teach us this lesson by applying to our morals or virtuous side, but by scaring the shit out of us.

This is a very disturbing thriller. Glenn Close is undeniably psychotic in her role. Her performance is dead on where it needs to be. She is all summed up in her chilling line- "I'm not going to be ignored, Dan." I get shivers just thinking about it.

In spite of the scary premise, the movie is somewhat boring and slow. After the initial affair, Close descends further and further into psychotic behavior and we become increasingly worried for Douglas and his famil. While this is creepy, it quickly gets old. Plus, it is slightly difficult to feel to bad for Douglas- he is, after all, a cheating husband.

The film's conclusion is frightening and intense. Fatal Attraction is a movie that is not soon forgotten. If for no other reason, it is worth watching because you'll never cheat on anyone- because you know, this could happen to you, too.
