Review:
Tim: The sleeper hit of 2001 took the box office by storm, exceeding all expectations. It is a hip, fun, entertaining ride. Don't listen to the critics, because this movie is worth seeing.

Paul Walker and Vin Diesel make an outstanding pair. They match up perfectly. Walker is surprisingly good here, and Diesel is at his best. Diesel's "I live my life a quarter mile at a time" scene is outstanding.

Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster are both decent and the supporting cast is adequate. However, make no mistake about it, this movie is all about Paul Walker and Vin Diese. They carry the movie and make it enjoyable.

This movie is definitely about racing and fast cars- that is the selling point to viewers. However, even more so, and underneath all that flashy exterior, this is a movie about friendship and loyalty. It is these themes that make the movie more than just lightweight trash.

The racing scenes are great, but the real action and suspense comes when the car chases occur towards the end of the movie. Director Rob Cohen has all the pieces in the right places for a good movie.

The Fast and the Furious is an intense, entertaining film. The movie tries hard to be a high-octaane adrenaline rush- and it succeeds.
