Summary: A fed up man (Michael Douglas) decides he's not going to take it anymore, and begins walking to his ex-wife's house to see his daughter on her birthday. Along the way, he battles everyone who gets in his way. A cop (Robert Duvall) on his last day before retirement follows the victims, hoping to stop the man before he kills anyone.

Review:
Tim: I'm not sure exactly why I like this movie, but it is very appealing to me. You have a guy at war with the ordinary world. This at first seems admirable, but quickly becomes horrible.

Michael Douglas is superb in the role, balancing the line between being justified and psychotic very carefully. Robert Duval is incredibly likeable as a cop.

This is a movie whose story is told brilliantly. It captivates us as it slowly unflds. Nothign is forced and there are no slow moments- the movie comes to us at a perfect pace. Our interest is kept firmly throughout.

Falling Down is many things. First and foremost, it is a drama, but oftentimes it has an action quality to it. Duvall adds some lighthearted moments, especially when dealing with his wife.

Some of the most memorable moments- Douglas being refused breakfast at a fast food restaurant, rolling back prices at a local grocery store, and criticizng pompous golfers. These are the funniest scenes, and highlights of the film.

Falling Down is entertaining and not a typical, cookie-cutter movie. This is somethign different and that is very refreshing to watch.
